Grok Bot 101: Give AI a Job

Grok Bot gives your Bots access to a persistent computer in the cloud, with a browser, files, and the tools they need to do real work. You message a Bot like a teammate and give it a job. It can keep working after you close your laptop.

I’ve been spending the week building Bots for all kinds of jobs and sharing them publicly. I’ve been trying to figure out what should actually become a Bot. How much context does it need? What makes one useful enough to keep around?

We’ll start with a simple mental model for how Grok Bot works.

Then we’ll take a real recurring job and turn it into a Bot from scratch. We’ll set it up and give it the right context and tools. Then we’ll test it, improve it, and make it shareable.

I’ll also walk through the Bots I’ve been shipping this week and what I’ve learned from building them. We’ll get into where this gets especially interesting when Bots start working together.
