Every week I work out the exact way I want Claude or ChatGPT to do something, whether that's writing a cold email, reviewing a pitch deck, or turning a transcript into a post. It works great, right up until I open a fresh chat the next day and have to explain the whole thing from scratch again.
A Skill is how you get around that. You hand the AI your instructions once and it runs the task your way from then on, so you're no longer re-explaining yourself, getting slightly different results each time, or fishing the same prompt out of a doc you saved somewhere months ago.
In this session, I walk through what Skills actually are, where to find ones worth using, and how to write and install Skills in Claude and ChatGPT.
